Turn your city into the game board.

Flaguu is two things in one app. A creator, where you draw the map, write the challenges and set the rules. And a live game, where everyone joins on their own phone and plays it for real, out in the streets, on a shared map that updates as people move.

Game types

Six ways to play, out of the box.

Pick a type when you start building and Flaguu sets sensible rules for you. You can change any of them afterwards — a type is a starting point, not a cage.

Capture the Flag

Flags sit on the map. Grab one, run it back to your base without being frozen, and score. The classic, and the easiest one to explain to a group who have never played before.

Capture Territories

Claim zones on the map by paying coins, outbidding the other team, or completing a challenge on the spot. Whoever holds the most ground when the clock runs out wins.

Tag

One group holds the item and scores for every minute they keep it. Safe zones protect you, scoring zones pay double, and reaching the goal zone still holding it ends the game outright.

Hide and Seek

One hider disappears into a hiding zone; everyone else asks questions to narrow the map. Each answer cuts the board down visibly, until there is nowhere left to be.

Modular

No preset at all. Turn on exactly the features you want — flags, territories, cards, coins, tagging — and invent something the other five types do not describe.

Default

Teams, coins, challenges and a timeline, with none of the specialised mechanics. A good scaffold for a scavenger hunt or a first game you are still working out.

Coming soon Hot Potato — pass it on before the timer catches you.

How it works

Create, host, play.

  1. Create

Draw your play area and its zones on a real map. Write challenge cards and decide what they pay. Set up teams, a timeline of rounds and events, and how much a bus ride costs. Save it, or export it as a file to share.

  2. Host

Put a game live and Flaguu gives you a six-digit code to read out. The host console shows you every group, the live standings, and the controls to end a round early or fix a score. Swipe the bar to go live; swipe it again to stop.

  3. Play

Everyone types the code, picks their group and heads out. The map shows where people are, challenges pay coins, coins pay for transit, and the scoreboard keeps everyone honest. People who would rather watch can spectate.

Modules

Everything is a switch.

Underneath the game types is one set of features you can turn on and off. That is all a "type" really is — a preset of these. Build with the Modular type and you choose every one yourself.

Community

Do not start from a blank map.

People share the games they have built. Download one, open it in Flaguu, and you are hosting in a couple of minutes — or take it apart and make it yours.
